The Immaculate Reception. The rise of Terry Bradshaw and the Steel Curtain. Four Super Bowls. Head Coach Chuck Noll has been a huge part of the Steelers lore and is undoubtedly one of the greatest NFL coaches of all time.
The world lost him on Friday; Noll passed away at his home at the age of 82. Noll coached the Steelers from 1969-91 and held a 16-8 postseason record with an overall record of 209-156-1. Although he was rigid in his coaching practices (ESPN notes he never made friends with his players), he was one of the sports' respected figures. He'll be missed in the football community.
