Earlier this week, Richard Sherman apologized for his postgame rant following the NFC Championship Game, saying that he didn't want to take the attention away from the fantastic game by his teammates. Well, as Sherman will probably find out, you take the good with the bad. The good comes in the form of possibly as much as $5 million in the pocket of the Seahawks cornerback.

Prior to his well publicized remarks, Sherman was making "just a bit more than his $550,000 NFL salary," according to his agent, Jamie Fritz. However, since that moment, advertisers have started flocking towards him which could eventually make him millions of dollars. While there are some that are concerned about the controversy surrounding his remarks, there is still an appeal for advertisers because as Fritz puts it, "he's more likeable." And, it doesn't hurt that Sherman would be in rarefied air, considering he's a defensive player in a world where offensive stars tend to get most of the attention.
