"Velodrawing" Exhibition Uses Bike Skid Marks as Art

A series of drawings done entirely in bicycle skids, the "Velodrawings" exhibition by Austrian artist Christian Grillitsch is being presented by Tony's Gallery. Grisllitsch is apparently a pro at pulling of a skid and has turned the skill into art on white-primed wooden boards. His first solo exhibition in the UK involved an installation of the large wooden boards presented alongside videos of the drawings being made via bike skid.

Grillitsch studied at the University of Applied Artts in Vienna and came upon the idea behind this exhibition when coming to a sudden stop after almost hitting a pedestrian in the street with his bike and noticing the skid marks he left on the ground. Check him out in action in the video below:
