In 2008 Shelby Distribution USA built 85 of these GT40's to commemorate Shelby's 1966 LeMans Victory over Ferrari and Carroll Shelby’s 85th birthday. The only difference between this car and the original chassis, which has 244 laser-cut parts and was the stiffest on the market, is the use of electro-galvanized sheet steel in the construction. The coilover system uses adjustable H&R springs and Bilstein shocks, and both front and rear brakes feature 12.75” discs and four-piston calipers. Powering this limited edition car is the Shelby 427FE V8 engine.
