The Houston Astros are already making the move from the NL to the AL in 2013 and they are "highly considering" changing the color and uniforms of the team, so consideration of a name change is a natural fit for the morphing franchise. Owner Jim Crane addressed the issues at an event announcing fan initiatives, saying that a name change is not final in any way, but rather up for deliberation.

"We're going to study the information both from the fans and from all sorts of marketing people," Crane said.

Older generations know that Houston's squad was originally called the Colt .45s when the team came into the league in 1962, but was changed to the Astros to match the new Astrodome in 1965. What new team names would you guys suggest?
