Before we get ready for the launch of the KD VII, today we take a look at the lineage of the Nike KD VI.

Before we get ready for the launch of the KD VII, today we take a look at the lineage of the Nike KD VI.

The sixth signature shoe of Kevin Durant, the Nike KD VI was moved from its traditional holiday season release to the fall. A move that both Kevin Durant and designer Leo Chang thought would be best, giving the line its own space, not having to debut alongside other athlete’s signature shoes. The cut of the shoe was changed once again, reverting to a low-cut rather than a high like the previous model, the Nike KD V.

In total, thirty-one colorways were released beginning in June of 2013 all the way up to June of 2014. Almost every pair released had a theme to it or a nickname of some sort. The KD VI even joined the likes of the LeBron and Kobe lines by debuting in an NSW Lifestyle version. Which brought the total number of pairs released to thirty-five, the most of any signature shoe of Kevin Durant, to date.

So as we bid adieu to the KD VI and prepare for the debut of the KD VII, take a look at the history of the Nike KD VI, from its first release to its last, below.
