New position, no problem for Yasiel Puig, who dominated from behind the plate in his first start at centerfield this season. The Dodgers put an 8-1 hurting on Tim Linceum and the San Francisco Giants, powered in large part by Puig's franchise record tying three triples and two RBIs as Los Angeles scored a huge win over the NL West leaders. To put it in perspective, he became just the fourth player to record three triples and a double in one game since the Modern Era began in 1900. How's that for a record? It wasn't just Puig, though, as the Dodgers combined for five triples to tie a club record dating back to 1921. Meanwhile, Zach Greinke managed the mound for the Dodgers, lasting 7 innings without giving up a run.
