This Puma MB.01 “Queen City” iteration was first worn by Ball during the 2022 NBA All-Star Game and will now be available to the public. Similar to February’s “Buzz City” makeup, this pair uses Hornets colors in purple and teal. The MB.01 pairs Puma’s latest cushioning technology, Nitro Foam, in the midsole with a mesh-based upper.
In addition to the sneaker release, Puma and Ball teamed up to refurbish basketball courts in Charlotte’s L.C. Coleman Neighborhood Park. The new court designs use the colors of the “Queen City” sneaker as well as the shoe’s wing design and “1 of 1” tagline.
This Puma MB.01 “Queen City” colorway drops on Friday, March 18 for a retail price of $125 from puma.com as well as Puma’s NYC flagship store, Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Eastbay.
