New Balance continues to expand its custom options with the addition of one of its best silhouettes, the Made in USA 998.
Beginning June 8, the New Balance 998 will be available for customization via the brand's NB1 platform. Prices will range from $200-210 and will allow for up to 16 different areas of the model to be personalized. Mesh, suede, and reflective textiles will be among the first material options offered, while materials like herringbone, nubuck, and Horween leather will be added seasonally.
To celebrate the launch, New Balance enlisted a handful of "influencers" — including Adrianne Ho, Aimee Song, Dan Trepanier, and Lou Delcy — to create their very own styles. Check them out below and look out for the 998 customs to launch next week.
