This morning, New Balance teamed with J. Crew to launch its latest collaboration, the "Hilltop Blues" 998, but that's not the only big news for the Boston-based Heritage brand. Concepts just unveiled an all-new silhouette: the New Balance 1550.
Serving as the meeting point between New Balance's 1500 and 1600 retro models, the 1550 employs a similar yet noticeably modernized design. Its overall build is more minimal, with overlays appearing only on the side panels and heel, giving the toe box a one-piece look.
Details include fused seams, vegetable tanned leather tongue branding, and 3M hits on the medial and lateral branding. The 1550 is cushioned with a lightweight RevLite midsole and finished off with a translucent gum outsole.
The New Balance 1550 will launch in three different colorways: Navy/Red, Black/Grey, and White/White. Expect these to drop soon at stockists including Concepts.
