Of all the braggadocious bars off Kanye's most recent single, that line may be the most intriguing to sneakerheads. Sure, all three Yeezy sneakers command serious cash on eBay, but $20,000? Is anyone out there actually paying that kind of dough? Apparently so.
Notorious eBay reseller New York Company has an impressive cache of 'Red October' Yeezys listed, with a full size run ranging from 6 through 15. That alone is a crazy flex, but it's his asking price of $20,000 that's insane—insane enough for Kanye to take notice.
It's worth noting that All Day originally leaked back in August 2014, but the rough cut didn't contain the now infamous "20 Gs" line. Taking this into consideration, it seems plausible that Kanye noticed the auction, which was first listed in November 2014, and added the bar as a last-minute flex.
Judging by these timelines, it definitely seems like these are the Yeezys that inspired Kanye's infamous lyric.
