While the Stan Smith may be best known for its minimal, easily wearable design, this upgrade is anything but minimal. In fact, the adidas Consortium Stan Smith Primeknit Reflective is one of the most advanced takes on the sneaker we've seen yet.

Picking up where the Stan Smith Primeknit left off, this Reflective version sees the addition of — you guessed it — reflective silver yarns. In normal lighting, these could be easily mistaken for a standard pair of Stan Smith Primeknits, but as soon as they're hit with a flash, the heel tab becomes illuminated. And the reflective treatment doesn't end there, as it's also woven subtly throughout the rest of the upper.

The adidas Consortium Stan Smith Primeknit Reflective will be offered in two colorways: White/Silver and Black/White. Like all Consortium drops, these will be an extremely limited release.

Beginning August 8, U.S. 'heads can find them at Barneys NYC, Dover Street Market, Kith, Packer Shoes, Sneaker Politics, Shoe Gallery, Social Status, St. Alfred, The Darkside Initiative, and Undefeated. Retail is $120.
