Last Summer Greats launched their Bab sneaker, the brand’s response to low profile running silhouettes that were dominating the running style sector. This summer, almost exactly on the one-year anniversary, Greats is introducing the Bab Low.
The changes from the standard to the Low are subtle but impactful. The mesh upper remains intact, with hyperfuse faux suede as a mudguard. The collar of the shoe is lower, revealing the ankle, and gives up a bungee pull chord for a heel panel that extends from the sole to a tab (with contrast stitching). Greats has dropped the branding at the ankle for a wider branded tongue tag, and the panel under the eyelets has been removed for a cleaner look.
The Bab Low launches on Monday, June 8, at greats.com in six colors (Blue Jay, Clay, Delta, Ghost, Mint, and Warning Red) for $49. Customers who have signed up at greats.com already have access to purchase as of yesterday.
