Fresh off their Versace Jordan Vs, Alexander John and Relevant Customs are at it again, this time with their Nike SB Dunk “Flourish.” The design elements play off each other creating an intense tension between the heritage styling of their chosen leather, with the modern color palette.
The designer/customizer collaboration used unique antiqued embossed leather for most of the upper and socklinier, countering it with intensely pink suede. The suede continues even into the lining of the sneakers and the piping around the tongue, with pink tonal stitching throughout. Aglit Italy supplied some tonal laces to enhance the contrast and carry the design home.
Alexander John says he was inspired by the Nike SB history and the thought of what a skater from the 1940’s would want to ride in.
Only three pairs of the “Flourish” are going to be produced, so keep an eye out for release info.
