Basketball fans should be excited by this week's slate of sneaker releases. Basketball sneakers, old and new, highlight the calendar. 

Notable drops include the debut colorway of Luka Doncic's Jordan Luka 2, the return of the "University Red" Air Alpha Force 88, and the first retro of the "Chambray" Air Jordan 7. Not to be forgotten, Social Status is also dropping its first Nike Mac Attack collab and Atmos has put its spin on the popular New Balance 2002R.

What You Need to Know: Following a member's only early launch on Nike's website, Luka Doncic's second signature sneaker is releasing to the masses this week. The "Luka.AI" colorway features a black mesh upper, purple overlays, teal accents on areas like the speckled midsole and Jumpman branding, and a glow-in-the-dark outsole. On the performance side, the Luka 2 features full-length Formula 23 foam stacked on top of a Cushlon 3.0 wedge. This cushioning setup is paired with a flexible IsoPlate in the midsole.

What You Need to Know: A new women's colorway of the Air Jordan 12 is hitting shelves on Thursday morning. The "Flu Game"-esuqe color scheme features a black full grain leather upper with a bright orange mudguard.

What You Need to Know: Rich Paul has collaborated with New Balance on another pair of 550s. This pair dressed in lavender suede with purple trim is dubbed the "Forever Yours" colorway. The nickname is a nod to Paul's lifelong love for the game of basketball. A special logo hit intertwining Paul's initials with a rose is stitched on the heel.

What You Need to Know: Social Status is the first collaborator to put its spin on the recently-reintroduced Nike Mac Attack. Nicknamed "Silver Linings," the pair features a cream leather overlays and yellowed midsole that give the pair a pre-aged look. The metallic silver portions of the sneaker can be rubbed away to reveal a clay-colored layer underneath. Special packaging inspired by neighborhood convenience stores completes the collab.

What You Need to Know: Nike continues its retro run of the '90s-favorite Air Flight Huarache with the new "Coral Chalk" colorway this week. The pair bears some resemblance to fan-favorite "South Beach" colorways thanks to its coral pink and blue neoprene bootie.

What You Need to Know: Jordan Brand is reintroducing the "Chambray" Air Jordan 7 this weekend. The pair originally released in 2006. It features a black nubuck upper with light blue and grey hits on areas like the Jumpman branding and midsole.

What You Need to Know: Atmos is dropping a clean colorway of the popular New Balance 2002R this weekend. The pair is dressed in a slate blue mesh upper  with various shades of grey featured on the overlays. Details include a pebbled leather tongue and reflective branding hits.
