If there is one thing you can say about the billion dollar sneaker industry in 2018, it is that there was a ton of limited releases capable of filling your wallet with a lot of money if you were lucky enough to get your hands on them. While 2018 has come and gone, Highsnobiety and StockX have crunched the numbers to determine what the top 10 most valuable sneakers on the resell market were for Q4 2018 (Oct. 1-Dec. 31).

A quick glance at the list will show off some obvious entries on the list: both SoleFly x Air Jordan 1s that released exlcusively at Art Basel Miami held the one and two spots with values of $4,393 and $1,999, respectively. Other pairs on the list weren't quite as obvious like the Nike Zoom VaporFly Elite Flyprint "Chicago Marathon" valued at $1,532, or the Puma RS-Computer that comes in at number nine with a price of $850.

The list of top 10 sneakers by resale premium is also topped by the patent leather SoleFly x Air Jordan 1, unsurprisingly given its super limited run of only 23 pairs. This list accounts for the sneakers that climbed the most from their original retail price. Other pairs on this list include the "Green Lobster" Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low that rose 461-percent from its $100 box price to a resale average of $561, the "Origin Story" Air Jordan 1 that skyrocketed from $160 to $700, and "Menta" Off-White x Nike Air Max 97 that jumped from $190 to $767.

Finally, Highsnobiety and StockX took a look at the top 10 sneakers by market share. The high production numbers and desirable nature of the classic "Concord" Air Jordan 11 awarded it the one spot with 19-percent. Other pairs on the list include the "Mauve" Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 at 12-percent, and "Blue Toe" Union Los Angeles x Air Jordan 1 rounding out the list at 7-percent.
