To be honest, I've always thought people who got in on the "What Are Those!?" trend were a bunch of dickheads who probably wore awful sneakers themselves. Like corny trends before it — planking, anyone? — the meme has officially been shutdown, and the person to do it was a woman wearing Crocs.
In what was an obviously staged Vine by user Joey Gatto, he asks his grandmother, "What are thoooooose!?" In which she responded, "They are my Crocs!" with a stern face.
That's right, you can all officially stop ridiculing people wearing completely uncool footwear and focus on stepping your game up from sporting the same retros as the next man.
