Looking to the New Year often means getting prepared for upcoming events and making plans for the moves you want to make. For sneakerheads, that often means getting some advanced intel on upcoming sneaker releases. Using the last few seasons as a gauge for what will be coming, Nike has provided everything from retro classics to innovative runners like the Flyknit Trainer.
2014 looks to be even better than the past years. The retros from Agassi's catalog have already started to flow into retail locations and January isn't even half-way over. From big superstar silhouettes like the LeBron XI, to updated version of current models, the line-up for the year is exciting already.
Not all of these dates are 100-percent confirmed, but this is what is expected (or what people are hoping for) to release over 2014. Here are The Most Anticipated Nike Sneakers of 2014.

15. Nike Free 2014

Slimmed from head to toe, the Nike Free gets an update in 2014 that will give it a new look. Staying true to the mostly monotone colors of 2013, the Nike Free retains its classic feel with a new look for the new year.
14. Nike Flyknit Lunar 2
Release Date: February 5, 2014
The revolution that is Nike's Flyknit has resulted in a ton of new looks for runners. Nike isn't one to rest on its laurels, and the Flyknit Lunar is getting a tune up that will give the runner a new pattern over the upper that should provide some extra protection and allow Nike to diversify the patterns used on the design.
13. Nike Air Max 93
Release Date: Summer 2014
The Nike Air Max 93 does not get the sort of "buzz" the Air Max 90 or Air Max 95 gets, but that doesn't make it any less of a classic. Last year the model returned in limited numbers thanks to collaborations with size?, a sign that Nike is getting ready to spread the love in 2014.
12. Nike LeBron XI "Hornets"

Rocking a pattern that hasn't been seen on a LeBron XI to date, the new "Hornets" model is looking to break the mold. A deep purple takes residence over the Hyperposite, while a hexagonal pattern overlaid with speckles is housed on the Hyperfuse. Upping the reward, Nike Basketball also includes pink accents across the Swoosh and tongue branding to bring the design together.
11. Nike KD VI "Aunt Pearl"

Kevin Durant's signature line really grew some legs of its own a few years ago, and one of the standout colorways has always been the "Aunt Pearl." For the 2014 version, Leo Chang has stepped it up a notch and added a printed floral print to the upper that should score across the board when it drops later this year.
10. Nike Air Tech Challenge II "Hot Lava"

The Nike Air Tech Challenge II is making a return this year, thanks to Andre Agassi being back with Nike. And what would the Air Tech Challenge II be without the "Hot Lava" color scheme? The world of this sneaker coming back will have dudes running to the store and grabbing a wig just to match these bright kicks.
9. Nike Air Flightposite One "Carbon Fiber"

When it comes to rare basketball sneakers, the Nike Air Flightposite One "Carbon Fiber" is at the top of list for many that know of its rarity. A result of the design mind of Eric Avar, the all-over carbon fiber is sure to be a significant release in 2014.
8. Nike LeBron XI "Graffiti"
Release Date: January 25, 2014
After a few years with the design, Nike Basketball continues to highlight the graffiti colorway of LeBron's signature line with a new look for the LeBron XI. Rocking with the standard Black/White and a small pop of color, the design mixed with the Hyperposite may be the best one yet.
7. Nike Kobe 9 Elite
Release Date: February 8, 2014
After the 30 or so colorways of the Kobe 8 that released in 2013, the time is right for a newly designed model. In December, Russ Bengtson interviewed Kobe Bryant, who talked about the performance benefits of the shoe. With the way that Nike continues to innovate, in the addition of Flyknit on basketball shoe should be something that changes the game.
6. Nike Air Yeezy II "Red October"

The hype for the Nike Air Yeezy II reached a fever pitch at the end of 2013, much of that due to Foot Locker posting that the shoe would be available on December 27. Unfortunately, the shoe never released, but that just gave hope to the masses that 2014 would be the year of the Red October. But the sneaker could also be one of the most hyped releases of 2015, too.
5. Nike Basketball All-Star Collection
Release Date: All-Star Weekend, February 14-16, 2014
The NBA All-Star weekend is always a great look for sneakerheads. Nike usually goes all out with performance and NSW releases, and the expectation for this year is no different. With the game happening in New Orleans, things should be pretty interesting as far as the colorways are concerned.
4. Riccardo Tisci x Nike
Riccardo Tisci will be designing a collection for Nike under "Nike RT." There's no word that the sneaker will actually be, but when one of Kanye's friends and the creative director of Givenchy is designing a Nike sneaker, better believe it's going to cause hype. No matter what the price will be, people will find a way to cop these even if they're "not feeling them that much."
3. Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB

The USA Olympic team caused quite a stir when they wore the Flyknit Trainers at the 2012 Summer Olympics. As we near the 2014 Winter Olympics, we expect Nike to debut a new version of the Flyknit, the Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB. Considering the snowy climate of Sochi, Russia, the higher cut Chukka makes a lot more sense than the previous Trainer. A new Flyknit process that blends wool with the upper will help keep athletes warm, and a new outsole inspired by Special Forces Boots will help them battle the colder climate. Expect these sneakers to pop as American athletes wear them to accept their gold medals at the podium.
2. Supreme x Nike Air Foamposite One

Bathed in a Versace-like print, the Supreme collaboration with Nike Sportswear on the Foamposite One is destined to be one of the most coveted releases of the year. As of now, the model will release in a Black colorway and a Red colorway, both with the familiar Supreme branding that was seen in the brand's fall/winter 2013 collection.

The influence of the Nike Air Yeezy line continues to make its way through Nike and the latest shoe to draw from its color scheme is the Foamposite. The black and pink color scheme with a slightly green sole has been seen on the Air Yeezy I and the Air Yeezy II, and now with Kanye on adidas, this may be the last chance for his fans to grab the now-famous color combination with this Foamposite Pro. Let's hope that everyone keeps their cool when these actually release. Come on, Foamposites that look like Yeezys? Seriously, stay safe everyone.
