The Best Sneakers To Wear On The First Day Of School

Of course you could have rocked "True Blue" Air Jordan IIIs on the first day of school, but they match your school colors and you aren't really ready to show that sort of dedication toward the Mustang mascot. You also know that you have 75 percent more heat then anyone else on campus, so you don't need to kill them all on the first day of school. Lets call this killing them softly. For one, they have to respect the "Black Cement" Air Jordan 3 for its sheer dominance, and two, they have to be thinking, "What else do she have in her closet?"

You wore them a few years ago when they came out, but you have let them live in the box since then. However, after you saw the "Weatherman" Foams hit the blogs this summer, you knew you had to set some folks straight. Of course your boys are hyped for the printed Foams, but you like your doppler weather patterns in OG form. I say you keep it all the way 100, and don't even strap them up, let it fly in the wind and rep this whole weatherman sh&t full tilt.

Your run game is wack. Lets be honest here. You haven't ran anywhere in the last month, let alone in a natural runner like the Speedform. However, your hipster style is so well suited by the Under Armour Speedform that your jeans pretty much cuff themselves. Lets be frank about this, no one at your school comes even close to the way you put an outfit together. Now you just need to decide which color to rock so that you demonstrate how matching is the old norm and non-matching is that new new.

Here's the problem. You have every pair of Air Jordan XIs that have released in the last four years. Unfortunately, you can no longer fit the Space Jams because your foot mysteriously grew a full size a few years ago. So that leaves you with the Concords, BREDs, and Cool Grey joints. Since the BREDs were restocked like crazy last semester, you know that Greg probably wound up with a pair so he is going to rock his on the first day of school. Death to twinsies on the first day of school. As far as the Concords go, most of your friends were so gassed about their pairs, that they have worn them out. So we say you bring out that deadstock pair and not even acknowledge there hypebeast faces when you walk by.

It is a classic and you know it. You keep it original, though this year, you should opt for the engineered mesh version. Since the Kobe 8 came out, most people are familiar with the material. However, they just haven't seen it applied to the classic kicks and what better way to introduce them then by stylin' on them on the first day of school. And though we hope we don't have to say it, we are sure you are rocking with the orginial Grey/Neon colorway, right? 

Your taste is impeccable and you don't even try. You wouldn't know a sheep if its wool was used to make the pocket on your t-shirt. You like ASICS and you like Ronnie Fieg, and lets just say you rep KITH hard in these streets. Considering that you are in Nebraska, the fact that you linked up with someone in Miami and copped the ECP is legendary in your city. But for the first day, you are going to go easy on them. You are going to hold tight on the ECP for later. However, you will not spare them the heat that is the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel Lyte III "Flamingo". Burn them up yo! 

Remember that guy that used to be a rapper, that used to be a producer? Well it turns out that he has a pretty good eye for fashion as well and has cranked out some pretty fly kicks over the last couple of years. Of course you have been up on Kanye since his first album and so when you walk into class that first day with the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton collection on your feet, you are definitely going to get some stares. Luckily for you, a few heads actually know about them and how much they cost so you don't even have to say anything about it. Just let them whisper to so-and-so about how fresh you are at the moment and it will all work itself out. 

Simple, clean, and classic. All the new "collectors" at your school are into the Lunar Force 1, but you know better. Your passion for the kick game predates Lunar technology and you prefer to keep it OG. The only real decision you have to make here is if you are going to go white on white, or get fancy and rock the premium pair you made on NIKEiD. We are going to lean toward the premium pair, but you know your school better than we do.

You are disgusted and you have a right to be. Look at these "sneakerheads" who just started collecting sneakers last year when the BRED 11s came out. There are not about this life. You, on the otherhand, are years deep in the game. You stood in line and skipped a day of school just to get those South Beach LeBrons. Do they even know what a South Beach LeBron is? As a matter of fact, do they even know what a LeBron 8 looks like? Okay...Okay...Calm down. Just tell them to keep calm and you give them a quick history lesson when they start staring like they just saw Kanye riding a unicorn.

Most people don't get the message when you rock Reebok Questions, but you are not one of those people. You are anti-establishment. You hate those that cling to societal norms. On the first day of school 2013, you are letting them know that you DON'T have to practice, yet you still look fresher than a brand new $2 bill when you walked in. Not only will you correct them when they say "You rocking the Iversons?", you tell them no, I am rocking the Questions, 'cause you should question everything. 

They are not the flashiest shoes on the block, but they can work with almost anything you wear. If you do a little searching, you can find some pairs that aren't necessarily availalbe on this side of the pond and you will be almost certain that no one in school will be rocking the same pair you have on. We are just saying there is no need to be a sheep when you can be original. 

Remember at the start of the summer when you said that you would learn how to skate and you copped like eight pairs of Authentics? I know, we did the same thing. However, since six of those pairs are unworn, you might as well give them some burn on the first day of school. If you are feeling extra fancy, rock the pair with the wax laces and show your boys that you have a little class. 

So you are not old enough to rememer RUN DMC when they were hot in the streets, but you have read about them plenty of times. As a fan of the culture you like to keep it old school. The best thing about the Superstar 80s, is that they are not hard to clean and will last you most of the year. As far as copping new pairs, it doesn't get any easier then getting a new pair of these and adidas Originals is putting out some pretty exclusive colorways as well.

What better way to show that you are up on TDE then to go all Nike Cortez on the first day of school. Yeah everyone heard the verse that Kendrick spit, but you are seriously about that West Coast life and stocked up on a few pair of Cortez. And lets be honest, you weren't with the high-style that everyone was rocking because you just don't think it is cool to wear skirts/pants. You are judging, but the truth is, you don't like skinny jeans either.

Now we are not the ones to tell you what to wear, but we do know that you worked all summer to cop the Air Yeezy 2. And we are not just talking about extra hours, we are talking about overtime at your second summer gig and the fact that you missed that one party when Todd went all Inspector Gadget on Shiela and ended up embarassing himself in front of everyone. That alone is enough to bring out the Yeezys and watching your classmates stare.

No matter what year you are in at school, rocking a pair of Air Jordan 1s will speak volumes about your style. They not only show your love for the greatest player of all time, if you are rocking the right colorway, those upper classmen that have been giving you a side eye about your basketball game, may just come around when they see the heat on your feet. Not that you need their approval anyway, they haven't rocked a Jordan since the XIV because they claim to be purists. Get outta here with that nonsense.

They call it a "no-brainer" when it comes this way. Your Foam game is strong. If this was Star Wars, your last name would be Skywalker and you would have a twin sister. But lets ease back on the Sci-Fi cause they don't know you were at Comic-Con in the Royal Blue joints. Lets focus on the first day of school when you pull out those gym green joints that you have had on ice. Of course you could rock them with a pair of camo shots to hammer the point home, but you are more graceful than that and will probably just switch it up with some ill golf shorts you copped over the summer.

Lets not front like you weren't the most valuable "playa" last year. You know how you what you did and so do they, so rocking the LeBron X "MVP" will not only solidfy your legendary status last year, but also show that you are connected. Just the looks you get from the LeBron haters alone will be worth the little bit of extra money you paid to get them.

Reebok Classics has been going hard in the paint the last few years with their retro product, and one of the standout releases has been the Reebok Shaq Attaq. Though the Black/Azure colorway is about to release, it is the White/Royal Blue colorway that is going to get the eyeballs. We suggest you rock these and initiate one of the homies into the Air Jenkins club when he is coming out the library.

In the world of sneakers, there are classics, and then there is the Converse Chuck Taylor. It is one of the few sneakers that looks it's best when worn in, but also carries a certain love when worn brand new. It has history, it has style, and the price point is one that we can all appreciate. Yeah others may come with there here today, gone tomorrow "heat", but your Chuck Taylors will always be in style.
