Breanna Stewart's First Puma Signature Shoe Drops on Friday
Seattle Storm's star forward Breanna Stewart's first Puma signature shoe, the Stewie 1, is making its debut in September 2022. Here's the first colorway.
Back in 2021, Puma hinted at the possibility of Breanna Stewart getting her own basketball model when she inked a multi-year endorsement deal with the brand. Now, we have the official details on her first signature sneaker.
Puma today unveiled the Stewie 1, the Seattle Storm star forward’s first signature hoops model with the brand. Shown here is the “Quiet Fire” colorway with a neon green and black color combo of the monomesh upper, serving as a nod to her high school team. The shoe’s standout detail is the molded heel counter, which features markings to represent Stewart’s two Achilles surgeries. Completing the design is a responsive Nitro foam midsole.
“Working with Puma to craft the first women’s signature basketball sneaker in the last 12 years was an honor,” Stewart said. “I hope that this is the first in a legacy of signature sneakers to come for women athletes across all sports and serves as inspiration for all young people that this, along with any achievement, is possible.”
The Puma Stewie 1 and accompanying apparel release starting in September at Puma.com and at select Puma retailers for $35 to $140.
UPDATE (09/13): Puma has confirmed that Stewart’s first signature shoe, the Stewie 1, debuts in the “Quiet Fire” colorway on Sept. 16 at Puma.com and at Puma retailers.
