Banned Air Jordan 1 On Feet

Oct. 18 is a special day in Air Jordan history, it being the date on which Michael Jordan infamously broke the NBA's uniform guideline rules in 1984 and started the myth of the "Banned" Air Jordan 1. To celebrate the anniversary of the day in 2016, Jordan Brand is restocking the sneakers and opening up a special store dedicated to the coveted colorway.

On Twitter, Jordan announced a store opening at 10:18 a.m. at 108 Wooster St. in New York City.

In addition, Foot Locker is bringing the sneakers back at select locations. Per tweets, the sneakers are available at House of Hoops Yonge St. in Toronto and at the new Foot Locker at 112 W 34th St. in New York City. It appears that the latter will also have a new colorway of the Air Jordan 31 and an early offering of the "Black Toe" Jordan 1.
