A leaked version of Adidas' NMD R2 sneaker features a traditional Chinese design on it, and may be intended as an upcoming Chinese New Year pair. The shoe has "Double Happiness" characters on the heels and insoles.
The character is generally associated with weddings and lunar new year celebrations.
Adidas has made a habit out of marking Chinese New Year with unique sneakers, and has released Ultra Boosts and Dame 3s connected to the holiday in the past.
There is no sneaker release date available for the "Double Happiness" Adidas NMD R2, but Hypebeast reports that the shoe could be limited to just 600 pairs upon its retail debut.
