It appears that Nike is all-in on the return of the Mac Attack, John McEnroe's resurrected signature sneaker from 1984. The forthcoming retro has already been spotted as part of a collaboration with Social Status and even in an exclusive execution made for Travis Scott. Additionally, Nike is using those moments to generate interest in original colorways such as the "Red Crush" make-up that recently surfaced.
Part of the lineup nearly 40 years ago, this pair mainly features a white leather and mesh upper, complemented by hits of red on the Swooshes, heel, and outsole. The shoes also bear the same checkered tongue tag as the original.
Expect the "Red Crush" Mac Attack to release this summer for $120. Keep an eye out for official images and specific launch information.
