Kyrie Irving hasn't only called future Hall of Famer Sue Bird the greatest point guard to ever play—he's making sure her sneaker game is always fresh.
Earlier this year, Bird was gifted her very own pair of Nike Kyrie 5s, a colorful execution dubbed "Keep Sue Fresh." The nickname is in reference to a conversation Irving had with Nike, during which he let them know that he wanted to make sure that Bird always had fresh pairs from his signature line.
As it turns out, Bird's Kyrie 5s are no longer exclusive. Official images of the "Keep Sue Fresh" colorway (with a few differences, such as the lack of a translucent sole) have surfaced, signaling that a release is near. The bad news? Early word is that these will only be available in smaller sizes—gradeschool is pictured here.
An official release date hasn't been announced, but we'll keep you posted.
UPDATE (10/29): Nike has officially confirmed that the Nike Kyrie 5 "Keep Sue Fresh" is releasing on Nov. 2 via the SNKRS app for $140.
