The greatest NBA dynasty most of us have seen in our lifetimes was largely made possible by the Seattle Supersonics. The now defunct team selected Scottie Pippen with the 5th Overall pick in the 1987 Draft before trading his rights to the Chicago Bulls for Olden Polynice and future draft considerations. As we all know, Pippen went on to have a Hall of Fame career that includes six NBA Championships, two Olympic Gold Medals, seven All-Star selections and ten All-Defense nods. I think it's safe to say the Bulls got the better end of that swap.
In celebration of the recent NBA Draft Lottery and upcoming Draft, Nike Sportswear is releasing the sneakers of several notable signature athletes, each inspired by the player's original Draft Day team. For Scottie, this Seattle flavored make-up of the Air Pippen, decked out in white leather with maize and green highlights throughout. Linking the shoe to the pack, each pair is lined with special lottery ball insoles with Scottie's famous #33 standing out.
Look for the Draft Lottery Pack Air Pippen exclusively at House of Hoops locations in the coming weeks.
