P.J. Tucker isn't the type of guy who thinks about wearing fresh sneakers as some sort of competition, but was it a coincidence that he made a strong statement in a head-to-head matchup against #SoleWatch rival Montrezl Harrell?
For Thursday's game between the Clippers and Rockets, Tucker played in Kanye West's "Red October" Nike Air Yeezy 2. This isn't the first time he's played in the popular sneaker, but seeing someone hoop in the model never gets old. It was the highlight of strong rotation that also included the "CavFanatic" Air Max LeBron 7 and "Ohio State" LeBron 20-5-5.
Harrell didn't exactly phone it in. That master of the random game shoe not only brought back the overlooked "Orange Blaze" Air Jordan 8 Retro, but dusted off the Jordan Melo 5.5 as well. It's no question that Tucker and Harrell will finish 1 and 2 when the Power Rankings wrap up at the end of the season.
In the meantime, find out where these two sneaker heavyweights landed in this week's NBA #SoleWatch Power Rankings below.
