Between his second retirement from the Chicago Bulls and a stint as an executive and player for the Washington Wizards, Michael Jordan visited his old team for a run in November 1999. As the story is told, Corey Benjamin, a second-year shooting guard on the team, made some playful comments calling Jordan out. Never one to back down from a challenge, Jordan showed up to the Bulls practice facility and proceeded to school Benjamin in a game of half-court.
Seen in the video above, 36-year old Jordan made easy work of the younger Benjamin, relying on his unmatched intelligence with his athleticism diminished just a bit. He even did some of his famous trash talking, barking out his famous 'You reach, I teach' line and making sure Benjamin took notice of the banners hung around the gym. A younger Elton Brand and Ron Artest can also be spotted in the video.
For his mini-comeback, Jordan wore the Jumpman Team Post, a $95 team model that released between Air Jordans 14 and 15.
In an interview after the run, Jordan made it a point to squash any rumors of a comeback. Of course, two years later, he suited up for the Wizards.
