Love him or hate him, Jake Paul is a needle-mover in the sport of boxing. Since 2018, the YouTube star has been lining up bouts with fellow social media personalities, basketball players, combat athletes, and even professional boxers, piecing together a respectable 6-1 record during that time. Fresh off his first loss, a split decision to Tommy Fury back in February, Paul is out for redemption tonight in a highly anticipated matchup with UFC legend Nate Diaz. He'll step into the ring wearing custom gear fitting of a marquee prize fight.
With the help of artist @Ciambrone, also known as, The Surgeon, Paul is wearing a set inspired by his appreciation of Travis Scott's "Cactus Jack" Air Jordan releases. Included are a 1-of-1 jacket, shorts, and boots in half-and-half black and white colorways said to represent the duality of Paul's personality.
His boxing boots pull cues from the "Phantom" Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low, with an alternate white-based version to complete the pair. They were constructed with an ultra-luxe lightweight garment suede, along with premium nubuck on the toebox, reverse Swoosh, and quarter. The tongue features both smooth calf leather and is trimmed in plonge calf leather. Performance is aided by a foot-cooling mesh interior.
Additionally, there's a one-of-a-kind jacket made from 9oz vintage wash canvas for a rugged, yet refined aesthetic. The shorts keep the same motif with parts of a repurposed Travis Scott x Jordan Brand t-shirt integrated into the design. Patches on both pieces not only shout out the Travis inspo, but pivotal moments from Paul's life and career, such as his hometown of Cleveland. In total, the set is valued at $100,000.
See the custom gear in action when Paul and Diaz clash on pay-per-view tonight beginning at 8 PM EST.
