The next generation of Penny Hardaway's signature sneaker line is unveiled with our first look at the upcoming Nike Lil' Penny Posite.
After being the main athlete linked to the original Air Foamposite One in 1997, Penny now has a Foamposite model that officially bears his name — or at least that of his famous pint sized companion. The aggressive silhouette, set to launch All-Star weekend, features a sleek black base, bright crimson accents and a graphic pattern inspired by New Orleans — the game's location. Lil' Penny's silhouette appears above 'LIL PENNY' lettering on the tongue, while the '1 CENT' logo finds a home on the pull-tab. Just below that, classic 'Flight' branding that has been a Penny staple since his '93 debut. The shoe rides atop a herringbone outsole with a Swoosh, classic NIKE branding and the '1CENT' all worked into the pattern.
Again, the Lil' Penny Posite launches All-Star weekend, so we'll be learning a lot more about this shoe, the concept behind the design and its future in the coming weeks. While we wait, let us know what you think about Penny's latest after taking a look at these initial shots.
