The "UNC" Air Jordan 1 High will make its long-awaited return to retail this Saturday, the first time it's been back on shelves in its original form since 1985. A lot has changed in the last 30 years, but all things considered, the remake is pretty faithful to the original.
Now, for purists, that doesn't mean that there aren't differences. The cut is higher, the heel is curved, the midsole is less contoured and the tread near the toe is thicker on the retro, but for the most part, the "UNC" 1 is back the way you remember it.
Before the retro is released, enjoy a detail-by-detail comparison of the '85 original and '15 retro courtesy of Rolo Tanedo, aka dunksrnice.
