Michael Jordan's Greatest Moments: The Air Jordan II

Michael Jordan is the greatest player in NBA history. Duh. Some of us, though, know more about Jordan sneakers than we do about the man himself. To help get everything down in the digital sphere, Complex is putting together a multi-part series that breaks down his legacy by the shoes he wore on the court. Jordan kicked off the season with a bang by putting up 50 on the Knicks at MSG. Michael only scored less than 30 points twice in the first month of the season. He went on to lead the league in scoring for seven straight seasons.

Earlier in the game, Jordan had posted up John Stockton, who tried to steal an entry pass and missed. Jordan finished that possession with a slam dunk. On Jordan's way back up the floor, the owner of the Jazz, who was sitting in the front row, shouted that Jordan should pick on somebody his own size. On the next play, Jordan stormed down the court and soared over the 6'11", 300-pound Mel Turpin with a crazy dunk. As he ran back up the floor, Jordan made eye contact wit the Jazz owner, asking him:

Every Jordan fan jumped at the opportunity to hang this 6-foot poster in their homes. Adorning the massive print is an inspirational quote from poet William Blake that reads:

In yet another WTF moment, Michael scored 23 consecutive points for the Bulls. During this game, he also surpassed the 3,000- point mark, putting up 61 points by game

Michael Jordan went up against Joe Dumars, one of the toughest defenders in the league at the time, and torched the man and his teammates for 61 points. Watch above as MJ puts on a hypnotizing performance. Even the announcers themselves were left in awe by Jordan's ability to get whatever he wanted, when he wanted it.
