Back in 2015, the Nike Payaa was introduced through the brand's NikeLab division. Featuring a design inspired by the Alaskan payaaqek boot, the Nike Payaa made for a minimal, yet comfortable sneaker. Now, the Swoosh is bringing the silhouette back to retailers.

Coming in an "Olive Green" colorway, the latest version of the Nike Payaa features a leather upper, compared to mesh used on the original releases in 2015. The sneakers use a slip-on design with a bootie like ankle collar for easy access. Another notable difference is the new rope lacing system that replaces the bungee cord style system previously used. A drastically sloping midsole completes the shoe with molded in Swoosh branding.

The Nike Payaa is scheduled to release in women's sizing on March 1 on Nike SNKRS and other select retailers. Stay posted to Sole Collector for more updates.
