After being teased earlier in the week by Adidas and Yeezy Supply, yesterday marked "Yeezy Day," which included restocks for about 30 different pairs of Adidas Yeezys over a 14-hour period. The releases alternated between both sites beginning at 9am EST, with the highlight being the return of the "Brown" Yeezy Boost 750s.
While the massive restock event was another step toward Kanye West fulfiling his sneaker prophecy of everyone eventually having the chance to own Yeezys, Yeezy Day wasn't a triumph for all. Many sneakerheads took to social media to express their displeasure with the checkout process on both sites. The most common gripe was about having to spend a great deal of time in a virtual waiting room, just to come up empty in the end. Here's what Twitter had to say about Yeezy Day.
JUST LEAKED: YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 CLOWN. @theyeezymafia has been hinting at this all day with clowns. It's supposed to be the last Yeezy to drop on #yeezyday, and it's rumored that there are enough pairs for all the salty clowns who couldn't cop with their mom's credit cards. pic.twitter.com/yshIKVAJzL— vish (@vishoof) August 2, 2019
