Unfortunately, sneaker theft is nothing new, but the woman in the clip above managed to take it to new lows.

According to a Facebook post calling the incident an "epic crook fail," police in Concord, Calif., are seeking a woman who they say attempted to steal a package from a resident's porch, only to give up and abscond with their worn sneakers instead.

The story was picked up by NBC Bay Area, who added that the sneakers in question are high top Air Jordans in size 11.5. Unfortunately, there's no mention of a specific model, but Sole Collector notes that it could be a Jordan XI based on the grainy surveillance footage.

We know what you're thinking — what was in the package? According to NBC Bay Area, it was a floor lamp, which is enough to make this one of the most bizarre sneaker crime stories ever. From the sounds of things, this lady was looking to get her hands on pretty much anything she could, which means she probably didn't even realize the significance of the Jordan XI in the first place.

Well, if you're a Concord, Calif., resident and your size 11.5 Js are missing, at least now you know who to get in touch with.
