For hip-hop heads and fashion cats, the latest Nike Kobe 9 EM "Court Purple" has a certain "Coogi" flavor that will have many of us reminiscing about the late-'90s and the one and only Biggie.

"Living better now, Coogi sweater now," is what Biggie spit on his classic track, "Big Poppa," and it showed the late, great rapper's affinity for the brand's signature sweaters which featured colorful and intricate designs. These's latest Kobes, which are pop-art inspired, bear a striking resemblance to Coogi's trademark look with a dope multi-colored upper.

With an official colorway of "Court Purple/Reflective Silver-Atomic Mango-Turquoise," let's hope your b-ball skills match up to the flashiness of this pattern. Part of Saturday, May 17's plethora of releases, the Nike Kobe 9 EM can be had for $160. If you're a big fan of this shoe, we have some more good news for you: Nike is allowing fans to purchase up to two pairs. On top of that, the print featured here will also be available for customization via NikeiD
