Ahead of the March release of Matt Reeves’ upcoming Robert Pattinson-starring The Batman, Warner Bros. has dropped a new trailer featuring more footage of Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman.

The trailer, which arrived on Monday, features some additional footage of Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne as he takes on Paul Dano’s The Riddler in Gotham City. Based on the footage above, it appears as though the Wayne family legacy is at the center of the film’s mystery.

Zoë Kravitz sat down with Empire recently, where she discussed how she prepared for her role as Catwoman. While working with stunt coordinator Rob Alonzo on physical training for the film, Kravitz said she watched videos of fighting felines.

“We watched cats and lions and how they fight, and we talked about what is actually possible when you’re my size, and Batman’s so much stronger than me,” she said. “What is my skill? It’s being fast and tricky. So we did some really interesting floor work that incorporated different kinds of martial arts and capoeira and a kind of feline, dance-like movement.”

Meanwhile, in his own discussion with Empire, director Matt Reeves revealed that Pattinson’s take on Bruce Wayne was inspired by Kurt Cobain

“When I write, I listen to music, and as I was writing the first act, I put on Nirvana’s ‘Something In The Way’,” Reeves said. “That’s when it came to me that, rather than make Bruce Wayne the playboy version we’ve seen before, there’s another version who had gone through a great tragedy and become a recluse. So I started making this connection to Gus Van Sant’s Last Days, and the idea of this fictionalized version of Kurt Cobain being in this kind of decaying manor.”

The Batman is set to debut in theaters on March 4, 2022, and will arrive on HBO Max for all subscribers on April 19. Watch the new trailer up top.
