Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thompson recently found out he could have mouth cancer after a doctor found white spots on his bottom gum.

Thankfully, that isn’t the case, with TMZ reporting that while he doesn’t have gum cancer, he does need to get a tumor removed from the area. The discovery was made when Sugar Bear was trying to get new teeth in Los Angeles from Dr. Tania Farshi. Farshi noticed the two small white spots, which were initially believed to have been the result of Sugar Bear’s penchant for chewing tobacco, which he used for over 12 years and led to his teeth rotting.

Sugar Bear was then sent to a cancer specialist, Dr. Babak Larian, who did a biopsy and discovered the benign tumor on the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo reality star’s salivary gland. Instead of waiting for it to turn cancerous, which it could, Larian will remove the growth.

Sugar Bear is not only getting new teeth, but will also get a hair transplant, filler, liposuction, Botox, tummy tuck, a new haircut, and a fresh shave now that he’s been separated from Honey Boo Boo’s mother, June ‘Mama June’ Shannon since 2014. He apparently wants to get a new look as he plans to start dating soon.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled in 2017 when information came out that Mama June was dating a convicted child molester. She was later arrested for felony drug charges in 2019 and subsequently sentenced to 100 hours of community service, court supervision, and random drug screenings. Her legal situation was chronicled in her WeTV reality series, Mama June: Road to Redemption.
