Donald Glover, who has been more active on social media ahead of Atlanta Season 3, has sent out a warning to anyone who hates on him in 2022.

Glover isn’t known for firing off many tweets, and he typically deletes any that he does post. In his latest message, he appears to be addressing any hate directed at him and his many projects.

“Please @ me this year if u talk shit on me,” he wrote.

Earlier in the day the 38-year-old multi-hyphenate responded to a Twitter user telling him “I didn’t know you was a hating ass n***a” in regards to SoundCloud removing a cover of Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” due to a copyright claim.

“thats not me. thats the record company,” Donald answered. When the user told him they “figured, was just being funny,” Donald confirmed their opening salvo was correct.

“but i am a hating ass n***a tho,” Glover said. “real talk.”

Last week, Glover surprised fans with a dump of behind-the-scenes videos and photos of the Atlanta Seasons 3 and 4 writers’ room. The FX series creator and star shared seven posts in total, including a hilarious screenshot of a Zoom call with the YouTube video “The Poop Lady” playing in the background.

The first teaser trailer for the third season of Atlanta arrived just after Christmas, providing a look at the very different approach the show is going for this time around. Instead of being set in its titular city, Atlanta Season 3 promises to mostly follow Paper Boi, Earn, Darius, and Van traveling through Europe on tour.

Atlanta Season 3 debuts on March 24, 2022, with the already-written Season 4 to follow sometime after.
