There’s plenty of people you can ask to wrestle you when you black out on Ambien. Dave Bautista is not one of them.
On a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Chris Pratt opened up about the instantly regrettable moment he proposed a wrestling match to his Guardians of the Galaxy costar and WWE legend Bautista, who thankfully just laughed the whole thing off.
As Pratt puts it, he would often black out when he was on the sleep aids and send risky texts to friends, but that all changed one night when he challenged Dave to a fight.
“The next day, he goes, ‘Hey man, that text you sent last night,’ and I go, ‘What text?’ He goes, ‘You don’t remember?’” Pratt said, before sharing that Dave burst out laughing.
The text, of course, read “Dave, I wanna wrestle you. I wanna wrestle you. No one needs to know, but I just want to know. I think I could take you. I think I could wrestle you, bro. Like, collegiate rules, no elbows, no knees. I just want to feel the power.”
Pratt shared that he was absolutely “mortified” by what he had done, adding that Bautista was “by far the toughest dude in all of Hollywood.” Thankfully, Dave took it well, and Pratt’s new film The Tomorrow War happened before the wrestler taught him a lesson.
