Will Smith has shared the first trailer for his new YouTube Originals docuseries The Best Shape of My Life, and it looks to cover some heavy subject matter.

Earlier this year, the actor said that he was “in the worst shape of my life” after quarantining amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In the months that followed, he documented his body transformation process, and now he’s delving deeper into his weight loss journey with The Best Shape of My Life.

“I’m gonna lose twenty pounds in twenty weeks,” he explained in the trailer for the docuseries, which premieres on YouTube Originals on November 8. “When I started this show, I thought I was getting into the best shape of my life physically. But mentally, I was somewhere else, and I ended up discovering a whole lot of hidden things about myself.”

The trailer showcases him opening up to his family in a particularly hard to watch moment. “That was the only time in my life I ever considered suicide," he told them. The six-episode series looks to get deeply personal, breaking down his public persona and the struggles he’s faced in regards to his mental health. The release of the series is set to coincide with his autobiography Will, which is due out on November 9.
