Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 has now launched and boasts a new map, fresh locations, and much more.

PerGames Radar, players can currently expect a total of 13 new locations thanks to the Chapter 2 map, all made more interactive thanks to the introduction of multiple water-based activities i.e. fishing, swimming, boating, etc. There's also a new weapon—the Bandage Bazooka—that allows players to shoot "healing bandages" at friends in need. Also, want to high-five while celebrating a win? There's a new group emote for that.

Back in August, fans were introduced to Fortnite's Season X. Then, earlier this month, the game went down by way of a black hole. An estimated 5.5 million watched what's now referred to as "The End" via Twitch and YouTube, which is notably comparable to the entire population of the state of Minnesota.

Back in July, 16-year-old Kyle Giersdorf of Pennsylvania—a.k.a. Bugha—won $3 million after besting 99 others at the first-ever Fortnite World Cup event in New York. "I definitely went into the competition aiming for at least top 20, but after that big first game I definitely thought I could win," Giersdorf, who played six games during the showdown, told The New York Times.
