It's difficult to imagine anything worse than having your son accidentally killed by the New York City Police Department. Laverne Dobbinson suffered through the event earlier this year when her son Tamon Robinson was fatally hit by an NYPD car after being found removing paving stones near a housing complex in Brooklyn.
Now, six months after the incident, the NYPD wants his mother to pay $710 to repair the damages the police car incurred when it struck her son. Has there ever been a scenario more fitting for the phrase "adding insult to injury"? Nope, probably not. Although, the recent incident in Philadelphia where a police officer punched an innocent woman at a parade, and then proceeded to arrest her, comes pretty close.
