E3 started off with a bang with many of the industry’s leading players holding press conferences yesterday. Many amazing previews were shared, but rising above the sea of eye-hugging videos is the E3 trailer from the Tomb Raider reboot. Last week we showed off the trailer that appears to be the opening CGI movie of the game, while this time around we are treated with actual gameplay. The visuals and animations are striking, but it’s the evocative mood that is the most impactful. Just watching the trailer you can feel the fear, pain and intensity of the desperate situation that our heroine is in. We’re not sure what Lara did to Crystal Dynamics, but they seem intent to beat the shit out of her in this game and it’s gut-wrenching to behold. Keep your eyes on this one: Tomb Raider is heading back to the top.
