PopCap is known for its highly polished, addictive, and family-friendly games like Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies. While having that kind of brand recognition indicates a rare level of success, it also has some drawbacks: Development time is bloated in order to reach quality standards, and the types of games that created must fall in line with the image of the brand. To solve these problems, PopCap Games has announced the creation of a new game studio called 4th & Battery, which will produce quicker experimental titles with an edgier flavor. The first of these titles is a free mobile game called Unpleasant Horse, where gamers control the ill-tempered equine as he destroys other horses and small birds.
