"Saturday Night Live" to Begin Airing 40 Classic Episodes Tonight
All your favorites, and some hidden gems.
Saturday Night Live begins its fortieth season tonight with Chris Pratt and Arianna Grande. It's a milestone to be sure, and NBC is also going to be airing forty classic episodes as SNL Vintage. For the next few months, at 10 p.m. E.T. before the new episode of SNL, you can catch an episode from each season.
Tonight, episode seven from season one will kick the whole thing off, with host Richard Pryor and musical guest Gil Scott-Heron. It orignally aired December 13, 1975. The seasons won't go in order, though—next week will be a season 25 episode hosted by Christopher Walken with musical guest Christina Aguilera.
