We've all been eagerly awaiting the premiere of Girl Meets World (and if you didn't, you obviously didn't grow up in the '90s); the sequel series debuted last night on Disney Channel. Although you could download the episode for free on iTunes, it got 5.2 million viewers.

It followed the original movie Zapped, which got 5.7 million viewers, so it's not exactly a record. However, Disney says a record number of users watched it using the Disney Channel app, and that it's the most-downloaded preview ever. It was, though, the biggest debut for the tween demographic so far this year.

Basically, long live Cory and Topanga.
