Ok, so yoga is trendy, has been for some years now, and there seems to be no end in sight. Have you taken full advantage of this yoga renaissance yet? Whether you're after the shorties who're bendy, or you want to show off your upward-facing dog, this Bikram-hot list is much better than the one you may have read in Cosmo or on Cracked.com. It's just what you need to spice up your aura. Let's be careful out there, though. We wouldn't want you to get a chakra infection! Most of these poses are intended for serious yoga practitioners. Novices proceed with extreme caution. All practitioners practice at their own risk. Also, anyone who is a legitimate guru will recognize some severe oversimplification. To anyone who is a legitimate guru, why are you reading this article? Please send all photos of your interactions in these poses to [email protected].

Urdhva dhanurasana

Also known as: Wheel pose

If the guy is on the bottom, he better be one ripped yogi hunk. I am told Russel Brand used his potent wheel to lift Kristen Bell clear into the air in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Somehow I have forgotten that scene.

Utkatasana

Also known as: Chair pose

Male takes pose, female straddles. It helps if her feet can touch the ground. Use blocks if necessary. You're a champ if you can keep this up for more than thirty seconds.

Adho Mukha Svanasana

Also known as: Downward-facing dog

I had to. This is a whole new world of doggy style for you, buddy.

Jathara parivartanasana

Also known as: Reclined twist

This pose is a personal favorite. Though the twist can be a little discomforting, the good news is, all twists in yoga help to detoxify the body.

Urdhva dhanurasana, dhanurasana, bhujangasana, matsyasana (mukha)

Also known as: Wheel, bow, cobra, fish (oral)

If you know these poses, I think you see what I'm picturing. I suppose either partner could be the giver in any of these poses. For wheel, receiving yoginis back it up on all fours into his upside-down face.

Karnapadasana

Also known as: Knee-to-ear pose, or the “piledriver”

This is an advanced pose, as the potential for neck injury is obvious. Bottom partner should prop the low back against, say, the sofa. Consider widening the angle between neck and torso to 120 degrees rather than perpendicular.

Purvottanasana

Also known as: Inverted plank

You could go all kinds of directions with this one. I'm imagining a triple penetration situation. Whereas traditionally the feet are together, she would have to take her legs wide. Watch the low back. Partner below can support from a low bridge pose, or purvottanasana on the elbows.

Vashistasana

Also known as: Side-plank

Female takes pose, top hand grabs toes of top leg, leg extends up for sri jai spread eagle, male enters victoriously. Rope suspension would be helpful if she's going to hold it for more than a couple of minutes.

Savasana

Also known as: Corpse pose

One partner lies completely still. I hear necrophilia is the next up-and-coming fetish.

Mula bandha

Also known as: The root lock

Tantrists believe if one can strengthen the root lock—basically the kegel muscles—sufficiently to hold back ejaculation, eventually the energy of one's semen shoots up the spinal column into the brain, melting the ego, and bringing about samadhi, or yogic enlightenment. I have no personal experience with this, but I have a friend who loves it, for both one-on-one and solo drills. I guess that means he's enlightened now.
