Transformers: Fall of Cybertron has been released, and Transformers junkies have had weeks to sink their teeth into High Moon Studios' epic chronicling of the fall of the disguised robots' home world.

Meanwhile, we sank our teeth, and our camera lens, into a different world: High Moon Studios itself. The Activision-owned studio located in Carlsbad, CA has been responsible for the last two major Transformers games, not to mention the The Bourne Conspiracy, Darkwatch and the upcoming Deadpool game.

Though the planet has fallen, the relics of Cybertron decorate the halls of High Moon. After all, there's DLC yet to be developed.

High Moon's worker bees sit in "the pit," the area where the brunt of the work gets done. Team leaders sit in offices nearby.

What southern California game studio would be complete without a rack of surfboards? And no, they don't transform. We asked.

The magic behind the sounds of a blockbuster Transformers game involves a keyboard, random pieces of wood, metal and other various detritus, and a car door.

What else needs to be said about an Optimus Prime pinata? This one does transform. Into candy.

The meeting room, or "war room," as it's called, where various tasks are plastered on all four walls. As you can see, there's not much left for them to do at this point.

Artist Brad Boyles walks us through the creation of the in-game Burst Rifle. He created the in-game models for most of the weapons in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, based on the concept art team's designs, taking on average a week to a week and a half per gun. They consist of roughly "4,000 triangles" each.
