Multiple sources are reporting that Telltale Games, the acclaimed maker of The Walking Dead video game and most recently The Wolf Among Us, is working on a new title based on George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones is the name of Martin’s first book and the HBO series while A Song of Ice and Fire is Martin’s name for the series. IGN is reporting from multiple reliable sources that this is Telltale’s next project. The developer is known for remaking licensed properties. Before the breakaway success of The Walking Dead it also worked on a Jurassic Park game and a Back to the Future title.
Back in October Telltale CEO Dan Conners said that it “can’t wait” to announced upcoming projects, noting that they were “dream IP scenarios” refereeing to intellectual properties, or licensing.
Telltale is currently working on a second episode to the Fables based The Wolf Among Us and a new season of The Walking Dead.
