Authorities say an off-duty NYPD sergeant was arrested over the weekend for throwing a friend into a storefront window.
Gothamist reports that Sgt. Tamara Beauzile, 43, was arrested around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday for hurling her Samantha Douglas through a window in Tribeca. Someone with a big mouth reportedly told the New York Post all of the sordid details that led up to the confrontation.
A police source told the Post that Beauzile was driving her friends home from a nightclub when they started arguing about directions. At one point, Beauzile allegedly told Douglas "B****, I know where I’m going!" and attacked her:
Beauzile—a 21-year-veteran of the police force—and Douglas were both left with injuries from the glass. Beauzile was arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, while Douglas was hospitalized, then arrested on the same charges.
